In farewell memo to McClatchy, Howard Weaver tells employees, "The boat and its captain are secure"

Geez. Here's an excerpt from Howard Weaver's memo:
We are in rough seas, but the boat and its captain are secure. Brighter days await you, and there's more great journalism just around the corner.
No doubt Captain Gary is secure, because he has a golden parachute to look forward to. The shipmates are worried about pink slips, though.

Yep, I got mine in one lump sum but get insurance monthly. Can't express the good feeling of being rid of that mess.
