I came across a clever map at ‘Content Bridges.’ Staffers bringing outsourcing into focus one could say. They placed some US newspapers and city locations onto a map of India.

Seems OTHER people have trouble with The Kansas City Star's Readers Rep. DEREK DONOVAN.

See Bottomline Article. Jack Cashill Demands Public Apology from Derek Donovan for calling him a liar.

Seems maybe Donovan needs a stress management course. If nothing else a new job or NO JOB AT ALL.

Donovan? Isn't that they guy that said the Star never has shipped any jobs to India, and blames the Star's customers for everything?

9:22 Yep! Kind of backs up what was posted here yesterday.

Well, Well, Well, Seems Mr. Derek Donovan may be a real jerk afterall and he represents who? The Kansas City Star. Whoops, I know they don't send any jobs to India. Seems you now have a bigger problem with Jack Cashill. A public apology requested? I wonder if it will be in the paper? I know you just like to yell and hang up on readers but, but this is a writer.

Talk about torture, and not taking place in Guantanamo. What must liberals think about this form of torture? Oh wait, this is happening to plain ol’ Americans, never mind.

-27 'Plain Dealer' Newsroom Layoffs Coming Tuesday-

Editor Susan Goldberg advised staff in a memo:
….."there was insufficient participation" in the paper's buyout offer, and so 27 employees will be notified Tuesday they are being laid off. ….please be reachable by phone tomorrow (Tuesday, Dec. 2) between 7:00 am to 9:30 am."

Goldberg said she would be calling then to tell people that they have been selected for the layoff. Those who do not receive a phone call by 9:30 a.m., should report to work at their regularly scheduled start time.

I can imagine how sick at heart these employees felt. Even if they sort of knew who would get the axe, a night waiting for a call such as this would be sickening. If this isn’t a form of torture, I want to know what is?
