Wichita Eagle website changes

The Wichita Eagle has made some changes to its website. From comments:
The Wichita Eagle's kansas.com web site changed today. It looks like they want to subordinate kansas.com and rebrand more prominently with Wichita Eagle...

... the main cosmetic difference is navigation along the top instead of down the left side. Is that *ad space* in the "ear" at the top of the home page?

The Q&A page delivers more admonitions about having to register and log in to use the comment section. However, I'm not sure what's different there. The log in requirement was already implemented earlier this year.

Another unpopular, clunky, annoying log-in requirement for comments. Seems like a dumb move to me. Wichita Eagle explains the changes here.
