Anchorage Daily News faults Palin for turning down a pay increase

McClatchy's Palin-obsessives at the Anchorage Daily News are getting creative in finding new ways to bash governor Sarah Palin. Last week the ADN editorialized on Palin's decision to refused a pay increase. You'd think the ADN would find that commendable, right? No, the ADN faults Palin for messing up the pay structure of state government. Check out this back-handed slap at Palin:
"Gov. Sarah Palin said she would not accept an increase, so the commission dropped the raises for her and the lieutenant governor. Palin's department heads would still get increases of between $5,000 and $7,000, to a flat $135,000. Compared to private-sector positions that oversee hundreds of employees, with budgets in the tens or even hundreds of millions of dollars, a $135,000 salary is a bargain."

"But it's just bizarre that the commissioners will be making more than the governor. If Gov. Palin doesn't want to take a pay raise, she can turn it down or give it to charity. Don't create a mixed-up system where the underlings make more than the chief executive."
Never mind that Palin didn't create the "mixed-up system" the ADN is complaining about -- she simply refused to accept a pay increase. But that's what you get from the folks at Unhinged Central. Hat tip: Conservatives for Palin, via email.

If McClatchy goes broke and the ADN dissolves who is going to keep an eye on this dangerous woman and her family, friends and hair dresser? I would hate to think that the rubes living in Alaska are going to be responsible for choosing their own Governor.

I hear the ADN has a tunnel to Russia. Content sharing with Pravda has won them a P U-litzer Award for best propaganda organ.

What is it with these crusading little J. Jonah Jameson writers and editors? Or are they doing it because they think it sells their little rag?? Here's to hoping that someday the shoe is well placed on the OTHER foot.

They're going out, "in a blaze of glory." Also I'd suspect that they are being paid huge sums for editorial content by leftist governments and organizations. I've been told that editorial opinion now pays between 7 and 10 times the usual advertising rate. Knowing that they will not be in business much longer, it doesn't really matter if they have any credibility at all.

Odds are the state workers are unionized, like the disgraced, and manipulated state troopers union. The state leaches making more than the Governor, doesn’t bode well for a raise anytime soon.

That's right about the state troopers union being dishonest during the election. Think of having one of these known weasels stopping you. They can’t be trusted, and are without honor. Buy and keep a recorder at hand Alaskans. There is no such thing as being a little dishonest.

The majority of Americans now think the media was dishonest in their coverage of Gov. Palin. If the ADN keeps up their unhinged coverage of her with nothing but garbage, surely the people of Alaska will drain the McClatchy swamp.
