This blog is mainly about the spectacular train wreck at The Sacramento Bee and its parent company, the McClatchy Company. But I also post about current events, the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, politics, anything else that grabs my attention. Take a look around this blog, hope you enjoy it.

Interested in a Lucianne.com news tease, I watched the actual event video. A young woman shouting “Back to the ovens” is eye-opening. The Sun-Sentinel chose to ‘Not’ report hate speech accurately. Same-o, same-o, the end to the MSM (Marx Stream Media) can’t come soon enough.
Lucinanne.com:“-Sun-Sentinel Lame Coverage of Pro-Hamas Ft. Lauderdale- Sweet young things screaming "Jews, go back to the ovens." Local paper yawns on.” -------------- However, NewsBusters gives us the skinny on the pro-Palestinian rally. Unbelievably poor coverage, or unselected coverage of things Hamas/Palestinian. Thank goodness there is a video to compare to the lame newspaper report. http://tinyurl.com/9uhzdp
FYI, You can see the disturbing video here. It's disturbing. Tom Trento captured some Palestinian supporters screaming "Jews, go back to the ovens" at Israel supporters across the street.
Please clarify a point for me as I am a bit unclear of the Gaza strip. Is this a country. If so, Who's country is it. The Jews were without a country until 1945 (I believe) when Israel became a nation. So who "owns this small but very important piece of land? I also heard from some Israeli soldiers many years ago (who were traveling through the U.S. that any Israeli soldier traveling abroad has an immediate plane ticket back home if called up for duty or a crisis. Is this true also?
Let me see if my chronological memory is still intact.
Gaza captured by Arabs 600 AD Captured by Crusaders in 1100 Fell to muslims again around 1200 Occupied by Egypt in 1400's Conquered by the Ottomans in 1500's Taken by British WWI Egypt took control in 1948 Israel took control in 1967
Gaza is a territory who's only value throughout history was as a trade route. The current crop of, "Palestinians" are actually Arab Muslims not decended of the original Palestinian people who were of Greek/Persian ancestry. These are the offspring of then invaders and were at the time living as guests of Jordan who got fed up with them and kicked them out.
Yes it is true but not an uncommon thing at all. US Airborne forces among others, before the time of designated, "Rapid Deployment Forces" had the same conditions as Israelis did. Through cooperation between governments and airlines, seats were made available for all called back personnel. The same sort of thing applies/applied to many nations including our enemies.
Now days the military has gotten smarter. They simply deny leave to the first deployed (USSOC,SF, Ranger, SFOD-D, 82nd, 101st, Seals and select support units on a rotating basis.
I read your post twice just to make sure I thoroughly understood the information. Yours was a precise, understandable explanation. Just the right amount of facts without putting me to sleep. There are posters here that are professionals in their fields, that is clearly evident. Thank you.
I am going to watch this presentation again tomorrow. I can’t get my head around all the shocking images and history in one viewing.
I recognized the name David Horowitz immediately. The Marxist colleges fight him coming to speak, tooth and nail. However, PLO groups are welcomed.
Anon. 5:46 is right, we will never read the truth in any McClatchy rag. This has been the best discussion, and I am not finished with the insightful presentation yet. I am going to learn something here if I don‘t watch out!
looking at the map...http://encarta.msn.com/map_701510708/gaza_strip.html It seems this is a strategic spot that would control a lot of things like transporting goods, military movement etc. Although small and seemingly insignificant, holding the power here would be a significant foothold. BTW Anon:2:50 thank you for clarifying this for me. Very concise and clear explanation. Do you teach history or something?
Any one hear any thing from Pat Robertson and his slant on things? Personally I think he is getting old and not listening correctly to what God is telling him.

Thanks for the info, Anonymous 2:50
I have found this presentation illuminating, especially when it comes to the territorial details concerning the tiny nation of Israel.
Anonymous 5:08 thanks, it's well done. I'd say Jimmy Carter doesn't come off very well.

That was great 5:08. Of course we'd never hear any of this perspective from anyone at a McClatchy outlet.
