Bottom Line Communications will continue "Kansas City News" feature after all

After taking a few days off to decide whether to drop the "Kansas City News" feature from his web site, John Landsberg says he has decided to continue publishing the feature. Here is how he explains his change of heart.
The response to the announcement that I was planning on dropping the "Kansas City News" portion of the site has been absolutely overwhelming ---and a bit humbling. I have posted most of the comments and have honored others' requests for anonymity (Darn it. Some were really great!). Many folks have also called.

I must admit that I have now officially changed my mind. The original decision was made after I received a particularly nasty note from a Star staffer that I had considered a friend. I hope his note was simply a reaction to all the stress at the paper these days.

I've come to realize that no other site has the media connections to print a list of laid-off Kansas City Star employees. No other site does radio ratings, gives a crap about local TV happenings or media icons like Walt Bodine or Toby Tobin, or covers other print publications.

Media people---and obviously many other people---genuinely care about what is happening in the local media these days. They know I have done my best to be fair on this site.

When I get something wrong I admit it. I am willing to put my name on everything that appears here.

I will continue to try and make this site a valuable resource for folks interested in the media.

Thanks to all of my loyal readers for their support and heartfelt feedback. Keep those tips coming!

The management at the KC Star won't be happy, but this is good news for Kansas City.

But will MNI continue the "Cuba City News" too?

Good news, I kept the BLC shortcut in my KC folder where it belongs. I'm fired up and ready to go. There can't be too many eyes watching KC. Watching Rhonda Lokeman is a work overload by itself.

Watching Ron da isn't really work. It might be a bit painful but it's really pretty easy. It's not hard finding 1973 Vega pouring smoke, running on 3 wheels and a crutch while toting a bug eyed Tranny with a 5 o'clock shadow sipping a glass of white whine.

Don't you mean Ron-Duh?

Anonymous said...

Nope. Ron da. I was mocking Mark who's hooked on phonics.

Did Rhonda go before de judge yet?

Nope, not yet. That will be April 9th. Her lawyer is the same scum bucket that got that piece of shit football player Johnson off the hook for assaulting those women and threatening to kill ones boyfriend.

Affirmative action DUI, not available to everyone.

Au-er, au-er, damn you Totus, what are you trying to say?

they are apparently still having problems getting Ron da off the pages of the Scar - http://willnotbetelevised.com/tv/2009/03/28/idle-thoughts/

‘willnotbetelevised.com’ is a hoot, but there is a lot of good general KC information there as well. Why is it so difficult for the KC Scar to report the news without their liberal bullshit crap? The news did have to be carefully crafted to elect 'Air Obama.' However, allowing out-of-state attorneys to intimidate anyone in KC that would criticize their ‘Chosen One’ is sick. The Red Star did not investigate the charges. Bankruptcy is not enough to pay for total corruption.

He'll have to pull it down before court because they want to say she isn't a public figure, so they are not covering it. No matter, the rest of KC's bloggers will be and once again the Scar will have egg on their faces.
