Herald deletes the Cuban government propaganda it had published on its web site

The Miami Herald has 404'd the articles from ACN -- an official Castro regime propaganda arm -- which the Herald had published on its web site.

Here is a list (first compiled by Henry Gomez) of the ACN articles the Herald posted on its web site. All have been deleted.
In comments somebody wrote there is an apology to the Cuban community in South Florida, but I haven't found an explanation on the Herald's web site. Stay tuned.

Better collect the evidence from cached copies before McClatchy has google remove them.

Bet your ass they will try and deny what they are up too.

Dirty Marxist Bastards, rot in Hell

What does the Herald have to gain by telling Miami’s Cuban community to go pound sand? Could there be enough Communist sympathizers in Miami to subscribe to the MH and keep it in business? I really don’t understand this business model.

For cached copies of deleted propaganda click the link to the evidence desired. Copy address of 404'd page and paste into google. Click "Cached" and the article will appear...until McClatchy (or Fidel's agents)have google remove it for them.

The Herald is probably being paid by Castro to run their propaganda. Either that or Castro has agents working at the Herald. Cuba's intelligence agency is the largest employer in the entire country.

There were some proud MH family members here a few days ago. We could surely use some inside information now. Also, the guy that said the Herald would die over his dead body; he could tell us his plan to bring the paper back to life. Something is just not right with this story. I am not wanting to believe the rank and file are pro-Castro. McClatchy yes, the employees, no!

You might not want to believe it but in the back of your mind you cannot deny that it would have been impossible to post these over a period of weeks without both rank and file and Management being aware, and participating in seeding this propaganda. It's either money or ideology. McClatchy and the Herald have both motives pasted all over them.

“post these over a period of weeks”

Thank you, I din't think of that. You are right, of course. I am new at this. I admit to being asleep at the wheel while the MSM suppressed the important information about Obama this past election, but I am young. I will do better.

No sweat. It's had to believe that traditional American Businesses, especially newspapers would knowingly betray their country. At least it was for me until I saw it first hand while working at one.

Most like to keep their heads in the sand and say it ain't so. But it is.

Question: What do the USA and Cuba have in common?

Answer: The lack of an independent press.

Somebody should send this whole mess to FOX News (other liberal media would ignore it). They could have a field day.

Actually someone should send it to the FBI.

Castro probably could run McClatcy much better than Gary Pruitt and his band of renowned.

He could get Mick Jagger and Keith Richards as Editor and Assistant Managing Editor.

I bet they would not copy and paste their stories from The New York Times and The Washington Post like most of the McClatchy rags do.

Mick and Keith could come up with stories that would be very interesting and the advertisers would be beating down the doors to pay for full page color ads.

This could be a comeback for the newspapers and the circulation numbers would be out the roof.

"Cuba? Jesus, what is this? 1962? Who cares?

March 28, 2009 8:25 PM" It's Miami, there is a substantial population of Cubans and Cuban-Americans. They care deeply. Also, the Herald did not attribute the stories to the Cuban government's press agency. That is plagerism. Regardless of significance of the subject matter, credibility is vital. The Herald has sacrificed that. It will take years to regain their credibility.

Actually they did attribute it to them in the same manner that they would a newswire serice. They posted "ACN" at the top of the article but stored the article in an AP folder linked to http://www.miamiherald.com/news/americas/cuba/AP/story/960074.htm.

Posting that article was clearly intended to deceive and had been done over a period of at least a couple of weeks.

The MH doesn’t have years to save itself. Try a couple of months!

“The Herald has sacrificed that"
The arrogant liberals think laws, rules, and paying taxes are for us not them.

Google is getting a bad rep for devious use of their information.

TOO LITTLE TOO LATE FIDEL (Who are these phonies?)

2 new columnists bring balance to Herald's lineup (2 conservative columnists)Miami Herald ^

Sunday, March 29, 2009 6:44:08 AM

The Miami Herald finally has added not one, but two, conservative columnists, Jackie Bueno Sousa and Glenn Garvin.

The two new columns bring some political balance to the paper's local opinion writers. Think Leonard Pitts, Carl Hiaasen, Fred Grimm. To be fair, all of the paper's columnists, those three included, are independent-minded, strive to be fair and can surprise you on any given issue. Think Andres Oppenheimer, Myriam Marquez and, of course, Dave Barry. How do you classify them?

That is how it should be. In an era in which the media -- the Web, radio, television and print -- are fragmenting and becoming ever more extremist in appealing to ever finer ideological slices of the audience, most of us in the middle are left out. We're a little to the right on this issue, a little to the left on that one. Today. Tomorrow, we might flip.

I will never flip to Socialism, never, stick that thought up your crasshole.

The Miami Herald expires its AP content after a while too. Most likely that's all that happened here.

If so they'll post new ACN articles and you can all froth and rant even more.
