I, Barack Obama
"President Obama used the first-person singular pronoun "I" 34 times on Monday when he announced he was nationalizing General Motors. He used “Congress” once and “law” not at all."

I wonder how many times he said "the taxpayers".

6:12: So what?

Anonymous said...

The Muslin word for taxpayers is Shitheads. Let me make that translation perfectly clear, that means:
**Dumb Shitheads.**

This blog gets more bizarre every day. All the ex MNI people here should move on to other things now, even if MNI fails quit the bitterness. MNI has a hold over you.

Anonymous said...

MNI failing, bankruptcy and a forced liquidation of assets would hopefully put the ownership of each paper back to local and probably would be the best thing going for everyone except for GP, the Corp VP's and the MNI board members. I figure they should have their savings accounts to fall back/live on for quite some time.

Hey, 6:12--

Did you pick your name? I didn't. If my middle name was Adolph, am I a Nazi? If my middle name was Pablo, am I an artist?

Hey 9:02 I think we are just going to have it over one of the elevator shafts We still have 3 more that should be ready to go up in flames anyday now

Anonymous said...

9:04 is missing the point.

9:04AM - Bravo! Excellent response. Can't argue with that logic but 6:12AM will probably try.

I see reader rep and part time sales girl Derek Donovan got himself caught in yet another bald faced lie. You'd think this moron's handlers would tell him not to flat out lie when pretending to represent readers. It is getting so bad that he now lies more than he dodges the truth.

John Altevogt said...

Is there anyone who actually believes anything Donovan says anymore? Derek Donovan lying isn't even news anymore, it's just an integral part of what he does.

Cut and paste just got new meaning as The Star cut and pasted an article on speed traps planned for Wichita on the weekend. This would be relevant to citizens of Kansas City how?

Hussein -- Hu cares?

I can't believe some ignorant prejudiced idiots keep making a big deal out of this.

Anonymous said...

12:08 PM Get used to it. After declaring the US a Muslim nation and coming clean on his Muslim background after lying about it for so long, they're justified.

Especially after the way the leftist press and "Fight the Smears" helped perpetuate his lies.

***The Star cut and pasted an article on speed traps planned for Wichita on the weekend. This would be relevant to citizens of Kansas City how?***

If they were going to be in Wichita this weekend -- which I am. And judging by the traffic between KC and Wichita on the turnpike each weekend, many others are, too.

Focusing on the name Hussein like it's a dirty word vilifies all Muslims. All Muslims are not violent fundamentalist killers. Neither are all Christians -- although they have been known to exist.

Who CARES if the President has a Muslim background in his family?

There is nothing inherently wrong with that -- unless you are ignorant and prejudiced, of course.

"If my middle name was Adolph, am I a Nazi? If my middle name was Pablo, am I an artist?"

LOL What an amazingly lame response.

The salient point that you are so desperately avoiding is...the name "Hussein" IS a Muslim name.

And even if you're middle name is not "Massengill", you're still a douche.

Truth Hurts said...

"Focusing on the name Hussein like it's a dirty word vilifies all Muslims."

During the campaign, Obama supporters were attacking anyone who referred to Barry by his full name.

Apparently they DO believe the name Hussein is a dirty word.

Anonymous said...

Back at you again:

What's WRONG with being a Muslim? There is nothing inherently wrong with being of a different religion. That's what the good ole U.S. of A. is all about! Freedom!

As for Obama's supporters attacking people who used Obama's full name during the campaign, that's because they knew that they were dealing with ignorant prejudiced people trying to tap into the fears of other ignorant prejudiced people.

Truth Hurts said...

"What's WRONG with being a Muslim?"

I'm certain I have not suggested there's anything wrong with being a Muslim. If you can point to an example of me doing so, I'll gladly correct the record.

"that's because they knew that they were dealing with ignorant prejudiced people"

So then according to your double-standard, sometimes "Hussein" is a dirty word, sometimes it's not.

Nothing like standing on principle.

Remember? B-Hussein-O’s shunned Muslim women wearing headscarves during his campaign. His staff asked them to move out of camera range. Now why was that? He was just so proud of his Muslin heritage? Were they too afraid of the truth to let the American people see Muslims at a Obama love-in? Obama is a phony fraud who will say anything, and even lie about the Muslim population in the USA. I wonder if his teleprompter told him to lie, or Obama just doesn‘t care about the truth? Another gaffe, his total gaffes have pasted President Bush already!

Truth Hurts said...

"B-Hussein-O’s shunned Muslim women wearing headscarves during his campaign. His staff asked them to move out of camera range."

This is true.

I wonder why there was no outrage about "vilifying all Muslims"???

Anonymous said...

A TV commentator was asked to apologize for saying if Obama’s father was a Muslin, then Obama was a Muslin for life. He could choose not to practice that religion, but that would not change their religious law. In some countries people are executed for leaving the Muslim religion. Obama’s people came out in a barrage of outrage against the commentator for saying Obooma was a Muslim. However, as it turns out, the newsman was correct, and not one newspaper reporter took the time to research and report the truth that the outrage was phony. This is the MSM’s unbiased reporting? And, they wonder why no one wants to bother reading their worthless news?

Anonymous said...

Actually, blame the ultra right-wing Bush and Cheney bunch for demonizing Islam and talking about the Axis of Evil. Everything you describe stems from that.

Anonymous said...

Obama shuns Muslims during his election campaigning.
Louis Farrakhan is a Muslim that hates Jewish people. Obama and Farrakhan are great amigos, but he was also hidden from view during the election.

Shun the ladies with headscarves; well, the same basic thing happened when the Supreme Minister of the Nation of Islam, Louis Farrakhan, declared Barack Obama to be a messiah. Barry says, not yet Louis, your day is coming, but not just yet. Shut your yap a few more months bro.

“The Nation of Islam under the leadership of the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan is the catalyst for the growth and development of Islam in America.”

12:30 Of all the lame excuses for poor quality yours takes the cake. What a complete non-sequitur.

So will The Star now publish a listing of all police patrols for all cities in Kansas and Missouri for all those who might be traveling to those places, specifically between the hours of 10 PM and 2 AM, when the article says the patrols will be operating.

You people get more pathetic as time goes on. Have a nice time in Wichita.

Anonymous said...

Before the GOP primary, the lying liberal press wrote volumes, and took hundreds of phony polls about how Mitt Romney being a Mormon, hurt his chances to become president. Along comes a former Muslim candidate, and not word is said about how that news would hurt his chances. In fact to even mention that his father was a Muslim brought out the cattle walling crew. Then there was the twenty years Barry O spent in a totally racist church with Rev. Wright calling Whiteys’ the evil doers. Not one word of the damage done listening to that racist rhetoric might do. What is that about changes horses in the middle of the stream? Obama must be on a carousal to keep changing horses everyday.

Amendment I

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

No, John. They can't publish everything that anyone might be interested in, so they make choices (based on population, maybe?). It's called editing. You should try it with your mouth some time.

Truth Hurts said...

"Actually, blame the ultra right-wing Bush and Cheney bunch for demonizing Islam and talking about the Axis of Evil. Everything you describe stems from that."

Translation:
"When all else fails, just blame George Bush. It's all Bush's fault."

John Altevogt said...

You can throw all the insults you want, but your point is still specious if not downright silly. I'd love to see a graphic of the number of people from Kansas City who will drive down to Wichita these weekend and be out between the hours of 10 PM and 2 AM. Talk about reaching.

This is why journalists no longer have any credibility. You catch them with their pants down and rather than just admit that they're wrong they dredge up some ridiculous excuse. Indeed, Bottom Line is now reporting that Derek Donovan has gotten caught in yet another lie, this time by a local TV station. Pathetic.

I guess we can all be happy that John is micro-second-guessing the Star's story selections now instead of sulking about all the "corrupt" editors there who finally gave up trying to work with him and cancelled his column.

Anonymous said...

7:20 PM I am much more happy that no one knows who you are. It would be ugly.

John Altevogt said...

7:20 Your ignorance is stunning. I had one editor at The Star and he was a gem. I dealt with two, or three, copy editors and they were awesome. Steve Winn edited one of my columns and earned my respect for the job he did. Long story short, you're a liar.

Once again, rather than refute my points you dipsticks simply wallow in the ignorance of your ad hominem statements. The story was meaningless to any meaningful segment of the Kansas City area, but keep trying to justify it so newcomers will get a shot at seeing just how low you'll stoop to try and rationalize The Star's inability to fill its news hole with the staff that remain.
