This blog is mainly about the spectacular train wreck at The Sacramento Bee and its parent company, the McClatchy Company. But I also post about current events, the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, politics, anything else that grabs my attention. Take a look around this blog, hope you enjoy it.

Two New York newspapers eliminate days from production schedule
BUT THEY DO PUT THE GOOD FACE/SPIN ONTO A BAD-BLEAK SIUTATION.
...On July 6, the Tonawanda News eliminated its Monday edition, moving to a Tuesday-Saturday schedule. The next day, The Journal-Register, of Medina, dropped its Tuesday edition, and is now publishing on a four day schedule (Monday, Wednesday-Friday).
Both newspapers are owned by Greater Niagara Newspapers, a division of Community Newspaper Holdings Inc. Community owns two other papers in the region -- the Lockport Union-Sun & Journal and the Niagara Gazette.
