CONSTITUENT: My question to you, Congresswoman Tsongas, is that if this is such a great plan, why did you opt out of it when you took the vote [loud applause, standing ovation]?
TSONGAS: People often say why don’t the American people have what those of us in Congress have. [Audience erupts] Let me explain what I have. Let me explain what I have. What I have is a tremendous array — you know, last year when I went to a discussion — what I have is a tremendous array of choice. And I made a choice based on what I was willing to pay for and what made sense in terms of coverage for me and my family. [Audience shouts out: "We want choice! We want choice!] This is essentially what we are creating for the American people. We are creating greater choice.
[Smattering of applause overwhelmed by boos.]
.
Epic fail. The imperious “Do as I say, not as I do” ways of Washington cannot be packaged as choice-enhancing, no matter how hard Rep. Tsongas tries.
Anybody pushing Obama Care should be asked if they are going to sign up for the federal option.
Seriously -- editorial writers, pundits, political cartoonists, SEIU members, politicians -- anybody who advocates for Obama Care should go on record and say whether they will give up their private insurance and go on the crappy federal program.

On Health Care, 51% Fear Government More Than Insurance Companies (Rasmussen)
When it comes to health care decisions, 51% of the nation’s voters fear the federal government more than private insurance companies......
If you watch long enough you'll see a purple T-shirted SEIU goon in the doorway. The Dems have their union goons at these townhalls, but Dem leadership calls regular Americans who speak out "unAmerican"? This kind of thuggery is killing the Dems in the polls right now.
Obama: Canadian health system wouldn't fly in US
GUADALAJARA, Mexico (AP) -- President Barack Obama says Canada's government-run health care system works for Canada, but wouldn't work for the U.S.
He warned Canadians that they will probably continue to get dragged into the debate over health care changes in the U.S. by those who oppose his proposals.
Opponents of Obama's plan to reshape health care have contended it would result in a government-run system where people are denied care, as they say happens in Canada.
Obama said he didn't find Canadians scary but that they were proving a bogeyman for others.
So the Proctologist of the United States admits that the Canadian system sucks but strives to chain us to his half-baked version?
But Canada has one tenth the population of the US and none of the ten thousand illegal immigrants entering every day?
TRANSLATION: Quit talking about the Canadian system.
I say it won’t be the same, so nothing more needs be said, investigated, discussed, questioned and no concerns shall be raised. I HAVE SPOKEN!
Dear Leader is once more, lying. No one is saying that the Canadians are scary, what we are saying with no deniable facts that the Canadian socialized medicine is a disaster and Obama is certainly imposing a similar socialized medicine system on us.
Journo Asks Why Can't 'Progressives' Win?
Publius Forum
The L.A.Times' Dan Neil is confused. He thinks that the so-called progressive movement is right on all the issues, but he just cannot understand why they can't win the public debate.
Neil laments that they have all the "English majors" on their side but cannot win "any war of words." Just what is going on here, he wants to know? He's so frustrated that he took to his keyboard to ask these questions in a Pittsburgh Gazette article from August 9.
In his piece, Neil wonders, for instance, why the "progressives" are so inept at debate and cannot convince the lowly voters of the merits of their argument even though they are obviously right?
He goes on to bemoan that the "progressives" are trying, but are just too darn nice, too “anti-inflammatory” in their rhetoric. He concludes that it's time for the "progressives" to take off the gloves and fight dirty like the "insurance companies" have been doing.
(Now, Mr. Neil seems like a smart fella. All his words and spelled correctly, and all. But for all his moaning and gnashing of teeth about why the "progressives" just can't seem to win he misses the elephant in the room.
"Progressives" can't win because they are liars. And, as his blather in the Gazette shows, Neil is a liar, too.
Well, no matter how articulate you are — it’s going to be hard for Progressive/ Marxists to convince someone that 2 + 2 = 100000. Even if you have TOTUS at your beck and call.
"The L.A.Times' Dan Neil is confused. He thinks that the so-called progressive movement is right on all the issues, but he just cannot understand why they can't win the public debate."
Hello! Its' because Socialism is built on lies. It cannot stand the public scrutiny and measure against the historical record.
Socialist revisionist history means never having to accept the lessons of the past.
It's too easy. Just look at our Troll and his idiotic arguments.
Liberalism is a little bit like a cult. Heavily based on feel good emotionalism sheeple liberals are so beholden to their limited and often naive perceptions washed in the juice of sugary highs.
They can’t debate because there is little logic involved so they crumble when their ideology is tested.
Leftist leaders apply their devious principles of marxism/alinsky, etc.....heads of the snakes!
If leftists told the truth about their policies, their beliefs, or their goals, they’d get 10% of the vote.
In fact, just think if our idiotic troll actually told us what he "Felt" or believed, let alone what she wanted for us?
They are simply “know better” elitists that are arrogant enough to think they can make your decisions for you better than you can.
This is why they “can’t win” in a fair discussion. Either it’s obvious that they’re lying, or their agenda is unpalatable.
You people are off topic. The thread is about a townhall meeting - with SEIU morons in attendance.
Trolls only ruin topics if you let them. Ignore the juvenile rantings and the conversations are much better.
It's worse than that, Mr. Neil.
Not only are you more articulate (to accept your argument), but you also control the media and the message, but you stifle arguments on the other side, dismiss them en masse as the lunatic fringe, and still can't seem to convince anyone of the merits of your side.
Obama's Computer Chief Once Shoplifted 4 Shirts (ABC News)
THIS GUY FITS RIGHT IN. BUT WHEN
WILL HE KICK IT UP A NOTCH AND BEAT UP GRANNY?
Now it can be told: The mysterious petty theft that President Barack Obama's new computer chief committed at age 21 was shoplifting four dress shirts worth $134 from J.C. Penney.
A 1996 Montgomery County, Md., police report obtained by The Associated Press on Wednesday under a public records law shows Vivek Kundra was observed by a security guard putting the men's shirts into a shopping bag and leaving the store without paying. Sgt. Tom Stanton wrote that Kundra was arrested after a brief foot chase and the property was recovered.
Kundra pleaded guilty, paid a $100 fine and $55 in court courts and was ordered to do 80 hours of community service. The White House has called a "youthful indiscretion" long ago resolved.
So unlike Yale's Skull and Bones,
to get into Dear Leader's gang, you have to commit a crime for your initiation? It's the Chicago way?
Shhh. We're talking libs here, so it wasn’t shoplifting....it was an “undocumented sale.”
This is about what you’d expect from the gang that was going to bring ethics and accountability back to government.
Personally, I’m hoping that another Gary Aldrich emerges. He was the White House FBI liaision who blew the whistle on various shennanigans in the Clinton Administration.
As Mr. Aldrich described in his book, members of the Clinton team presented serious (ahem) challenges in obtaining security clearances. On their SF 86 (the basic form filled out by anyone applying for a new clearance or renewal of their existing one), some Clinton staffers admitted to drug use and/or sexual debauchery that would disqualify mere mortals (read: military personnel or civil service staffers). As you might have guessed, most of them still got their clearances.
Of course, it’s worth remembering that the current TOTUS wouldn’t qualify for a security clearance as a member of the armed forces, a federal agent, or a civilian intelligence analyst. Not with his history of drug use and questionable associations.

Health policy expert and former Lt. Governor of New York State, Betsy McCaughey has read the bill cover to cover, and wants to get the word out
Page 425: "Counseling sessions" mandated for elderly to pressure them to DIE.
And you CANNOT keep your present health plan, so when the elderly run out of money, they are killed.
That's where the "savings" in the Plan comes from
Hillary Clinton: "My husband is not secretary of state, I am"
(Washington Examiner) TALK ABOUT EMBARRASSMENT!
A week after former President Bill Clinton traveled to North Korea to secure the release of two detained American journalists and stole the limelight from the start of his wife's first trip to Africa, Clinton was clearly displeased by the question at town hall forum in Kinshasa.
"You want me to tell you what my husband thinks?" she replied incredulously when the male student asked her what "Mr. Clinton" thought of World Bank concerns about a multi-billion-dollar Chinese loan offer to the Congo.
"My husband is not secretary of state, I am," an obviously annoyed Clinton said sharply.
(There, there dear, Of course you are! How's Humma?
Wait a second, didn’t Hillary say a few years back that “we are the president?”
I know, what's yours is mine, and what's mine is mine
How many other Secretaries of State send their husbands to “negotiate” the release of hostages?
Hillary is the most powerless, neutered Secretary of State I’ve seen in years. She’d have been better off staying in the Senate.
Sorry Hillary, you have been castrated. Dear Leader made you into a useless laughingstock.
Obama has really marginalized Hillary. I mean, look where she is now.....touring Africa.
He gave her the job and then made the job meaningless.
They changed the link.
