They sure have a lot of fancy names and titles for telemarketers these days.

Once again we have someone making comments that has no idea what they are speaking of. It's an outside sales position. Call it what you will but you'll be wrong if you call it telemarketing.

They hire some pretty young thing, with a good sales rack, all bright smiled and well tailed, with no actual marketing knowledge.

And, they get her cheap. It's for Visalia.

Ever since Gottschalks folded, the middle-agers are too old and too frumpy, to make the sweet pitch work.

Radio and TV have been hiring the Fox News bimbo look-alikes for years and making good gravy. A bodacious rack and full lips sells!

Back when selling adverting was nothing more than filling out the insertion order, any bimbo could sell.

With all media companies getting a wake-up call on adverting revenues, it might require a bit of brains to go with the bodacious power-points.

Not to worry, The Newspapers can soak up all the laid-off local radio and TV sales staff in a heartbeat.

Radio and TV sales reps are more aggressive - much more. The print sales guys I work with are kick back types and that doesn't work today.
