Imagine if the Bush administration pulled a stunt like this -- the Obama White House is asking Americans to snitch on citizens who are reporting "disinformation" about Obama Care.
From the official White House site:
From the official White House site:
There is a lot of disinformation about health insurance reform out there, spanning from control of personal finances to end of life care. These rumors often travel just below the surface via chain emails or through casual conversation. Since we can’t keep track of all of them here at the White House, we’re asking for your help. If you get an email or see something on the web about health insurance reform that seems fishy, send it to flag@whitehouse.gov. (emphasis mine)

This is something a "Truth to Power" news organization would investigate. But so far under Obama, McClatchy is investigating "birthers" and Sarah Palin, not the party that controls all 3 branches of the federal government.

Oh my! I wonder what they are going to do to us when our McClatchy Troll reports us for saying that Obama's Deathcare bill is right in line with Chavez's current shenanigans in nationalizing all their industries and transforming into a Marxist Utopia for them, and grief, pain and suffering for everyone else?
Have any of you actually read that bill!? It reads like something out of the twilight zone.
I guess the Messiah wasn't kidding when he said, "Maybe you don't need that surgery, maybe you just need the pain pill instead."
Say goodbye to medicare and hello to RationCare provided to you by, AcornHealthCare. We're here to monitor your weight, smoking, diet, alcohol intake and provide you with our value added death counseling.

P.S. Blogmaster, if you are compelled to delete my comment in fear of death or great bodily harm, I understand.
1:31 -- From the White House web site... "If you get an email or see something on the web about health insurance reform that seems fishy, send it to flag@whitehouse.gov."
I wouldn't be surprised if somebody tries to report you to the authorities.
Everytime I hear Obama or a senior democrat talk, I hear something fishy...really fishy.
Should we report all of those to the white house.
We need to hurry is fishy.
I don't want a single payor system is fishy.
We need to cover 46 million uninsured american is fishy
And then the bill itself...its not just fishy...its old-fishy...it really stinks.
And fish rot from the head.
Big Bro is watching YOU!
I imagine the ACLU will take care of this affront to our civil liberties.
Bwhahahaha

The Stasi demands we turn in our fellow comrades who do not toe the party line. How about inviting dialog on the issue instead of hunting down true free thinkers.
1:42 Well, I have done my part as a good citizen and reported the scumbags at http://docs.house.gov/edlabor/AAHCA-BillText-071409.pdf
I told Dear Leader's lackey that some SOB must have altered this document because there is no way that under his leadership anyone would have proposed such a pack of filth and then tried to shove it down the throats of Americans.
I am looking forward to my, "People's Medal" and an appointment as Political Commissar in my district's Soylent Green Factory. I am a shoe in. I worked for McClatchy.
I denounce myself and I denounce all of you.
Special reeducation camps must be included in the glorious health care solutions given to us free by our leaders.
Perhaps we can find a place in Siberia that needs a new road and we can hold combination reeducation and hard labor schools to help you right wing wackos understand the glory of central planning, five year plans, controlled economies and the evils of corporate capitalist greed.
Thank you,

Is that what the mobs, organized and financed by the insurance industry lobbyists and Republicans, are doing at town hall meetings?
From Utica to Green Bay to Austin, concerned citizens are rising up against government-run health care and protesting town hall meetings held by members of Congress.
Really?
It’s not so clear. The inevitable backlash against the town halls gone wild has begun, as national conservative interest groups like FreedomWorks and Conservatives for Patients Rights are taking some credit for the hostile crowds, undermining the notion that these are purely local grass-roots uprisings. Democrats are fighting back with a counter campaign, led by the White House, and even some Republicans quietly worry that the crowd anger may be over the top in some cases and backfire.
Good Wednesday morning and welcome to The Huddle, where cash for clunkers is a slam dunk, so is the Sonia Sotomayor nomination, and Democrats are trying to find a bit of momentum as the Senate slides into recess tomorrow night.
PROTESTER PUSHBACK: The pushback stories on town halls are everywhere. From Roll Call’s Jackie Kucinich and Jennifer Bendery: “House Democratic leaders have a strategy for countering protesters attempting to disrupt Members’ town-hall meetings on health care over the August recess: Do nothing. … Van Hollen predicted that the (opposition) groups’ more dramatic tactics — which have included the display of Nazi signs, a hanging effigy of Rep. Frank Kratovil (D-Md.) and a tombstone bearing the name of Rep. Lloyd Doggett (D-Texas) — will ‘backfire in a big way’ because their aim is to keep citizens from having a conversation about health care. ‘When you’ve got people shouting and hanging Members of Congress in effigy, most people are going to react badly to that. I think most people want to have a civil discussion,’ he said.”
FIGHTTHESMEARS (PART 2?): The White House has gotten behind the pushback as well, using a successful tactic from the campaign, as Carrie Budoff Brown reports in today’s POLITICO: “The White House launched a coordinated effort Tuesday to combat what it calls a 'viral whisper campaign' to torpedo health care reform.
“Its playbook: the same one Barack Obama’s campaign used in 2008 to shoot down rumors and questions about his citizenship, faith and patriotism. The new offensive started early Tuesday morning when the White House posted a video response to a hodgepodge of clips on the Drudge Report that portrayed President Obama as favoring the elimination of private insurance. On the White House blog, Obama’s director of new media, Macon Phillips, asked supporters to send in leads for debunking chain e-mails or anything else that 'seems fishy.'
“It continued through the day with press secretary Robert Gibbs and Democratic National Committee spokesman Brad Woodhouse both saying a series of confrontational town hall meetings were manufactured by Republicans, conservative groups and lobbyists who are paid to drum up opposition. Woodhouse described them as 'angry mobs of rabid right-wing extremists' that populated McCain-Palin rallies last year.”
ASTROTURF PROTESTERS? Some of the town hall disrupters appear to be coming from outside of lawmakers’ districts, encouraged by conservative Internet sites. Here’s a dispatch from the liberal blog ThinkProgress: “Last night, Rep. Gene Green (D-Texas) hosted a rowdy town hall meeting to discuss health care reform. Fox’s local Houston affiliate reporter, Duarte Geraldino reported that he talked to the participants and found that 'some attendees admit they don’t live in the district.' How did they get there? Geraldino noted 'an Internet campaign' by far-right activists urging their allies to attend and heckle Democratic Representatives.”
“During the town hall, one conservative activist turns to his fellow attendees and asks them to raise their hands if they 'oppose any form of socialized or government-run health care.' Almost all the hands shot up. Rep Green quickly turned the question on the audience and asked, 'How many of you have Medicare?' Nearly half the attendees raised their hands.”

9:54 AM Isn't it incredible how just a few short months ago, this was considered dissent and patriotic?
Meanwhile, Republicans are now favored heavily in the Generic polls, Obama and his clowns are still dropping like a stone, and you can malign dissenters as rent a mobs when just the other day, you all heralded them as grass roots uprisings.
You're hypocrite cup runnth over.
Special reeducation camps must be included in the glorious health care solutions given to us free by our leaders.
Uh, dude. Don't forget, Obama's first boss was planning on executing as many as 25 million of us that didn't want to go along with with the program.
Another day, another dozen or so posts from bitter old men angry and in panic about how things are changing from the days of segregation and homophobia. Something's happening, but you don't know what it is. Do you Mr. Jones?
Only a pathetic angry, mouth breathing moron lib would inject race and hatred into this thread.
The president of the United States has asked Americans to report on each other's political views and all you can do is to call names.
Like most of the liberal commenters on this blog, you seem to have a problem with any expressed ideas but your own.
My problem with Obama is not his color but his policy on health care. For you to inject race into a disagreement about direction is both wrong and dangerous. It's a mark of a second rate mind and a third rate character that over values political rhetoric and undervalues ones freedom.
