The Charlotte Observer is hiring an sales representative for its Lake Norman magazine. From the announcement:

The Charlotte Observer, the region’s leading information source, has a Full time opportunity for a sales-focused professional to join our team as a Advertising Sales Representative- Lake Norman Magazine. The Charlotte Observer is one of the largest newspaper in the Southeast area with circulation at 209,218 daily and 258,722 Sunday. The Charlotte Observer employs approximately 750 employees and is owned by McClatchy.

The Interactive Sales Representative position is responsible for developing and retaining new business from both local and national inactive accounts. This will involve prospecting from data lists and from competitive Web sites. Special projects may also be assigned as needed. This position must understand online processes and advertising options for the customer.

Requires developing an expert knowledge of our online products and services. The candidate for this position will have excellent communication skills and be able to communicate effectively with customers.


Requirements:

Requirements High School Education,College Degree preferred. Experience in sales and marketing preferred. Presentation skills and previous interactive sales experience a plus. Advertising Sales Representative positions needs a self motivated individual, who is driven to succeed, goal oriented and maintains strong time management skills. Must have access to reliable transportation for frequent visits to the customer.

i dont know why..the word today is that we have to cut jobs after Frank Whittakers visit today to charlotte..Thanks to the great financials from our great accountant..anybody want to address that! They tried to hide the fact that he came to our paper, how ridiculous is that.
