Major coup: FOX signs John Stossel

Popular libertarian reporter John Stossel is bolting ABC and heading to FOX.

John Stossel, the longtime ABC News correspondent and co-anchor of "20/20," is leaving ABC to join Fox News Channel and Fox Business Network. TVNewser has learned Stossel will host a weekly, one-hour program for the 2-year-old business channel. He's expected to signed a multi-year deal with Fox which will include regular appearances on Fox News Channel during daytime and primetime. He'll also host four, hour-long specials on Fox News, much like the business/consumer specials he'd hosted for years on ABC.

Stossel, a libertarian, has been appearing on Fox News for years as a guest on shows including "The O'Reilly Factor," "Hannity & Colmes" and "The Big Story."

Time for Disney to be looking at a change of management at the All Barrack Channel.

Just like the war in Iraq attracted all the terrorists from across the mideast, Fox News and Fox Business are luring all the loony media types....Glenn Beck...John Stossel....if only they give Sarah a show I can give up my Cinemax subscription

If you want to do REAL reporting and not just 24-7 shilling for Obama, Fox News is the last bastion of journalism.

Look for more serious journalists to jump ranks and sign with Fox. It's on the rise with huge viewership gains in recent months and you don't have to grovel at the feet of Nancy Pelosi and Obama.

What a joke. Real journalists like Dan ( What fakes?) Rather work for CBS. Or Anderson the Teabagger Cooper at CNN...not to mention the parade of Miami Herald (Ms. Rosenberg)angry women reporters. Journalism is littered with discredited hacks who push their liberal agenda, truth be damned.

Maybe Mark Sanford and his Argentine tomato can have a Fox show, too. A programming block of loser former GOP governors with Sarah and the used-to-be-fat guy from Arkansas who's not Clinton. And just to show Fox is fair and balanced, bring in the token dufus Democrat, Blagojevich.

John gave a shred of integrity to ABC. I would rather see some libertarians in the other networks but if this helps John to work unfettered than it will be for the better.

He is a great reporter. Glad to hear he will be on a channel that appreciates him.
As a reporter myself, I would love to be in a newsroom that wasn't filled with flaming liberals.

I have always liked Jon Stossel, but I would not watch ABC, so this is great news. Fox is the only growing network, the others are dying. The Obama and liberal Fox bashing seems childish and petty. Fox carrying the tea party information has really connected them to middle America.

Looks as if there is a mass exodus at ABC since they decided to give NBC a run for their money as most dedicated Obama propaganda organ. Even the rank and file are fleeing to a Fox.

Another ABCer is heading to Fox News Channel.

TVNewser has learned 18-year veteran producer Sean Smith will be reuniting with his former ABC News colleague Michael Clemente, joining Fox as Vice President of News. Most recently Smith has been a Coordinating Producer for ABC News, and before that was the senior producer for the "World News" .....

Anyone noticed that Mike Huckabee is packing on the pounds again. Noticed it when he was on Fox & Friends this morning. The side view is not flattering for Mr. Huckabee. Not that he has much of a chance against Sarah in 2012 anyway.
