The State (Columbia, SC) looking for a classified advertising auto executive

The State newspaper is advertising for a classified advertising auto executive. The announcement:

Description:

Sells automotive advertising schedules based on advertiser marketing needs. Sells all products in The State Media Company’s portfolio (print and online) to achieve revenue goals by: developing and servicing existing, new and inactive accounts, maintaining awareness of local competitive conditions; and improving market share.

Requirements:

Requires two to five years of responsible experience in sales or marketing, preferably with a media company. College degree preferred. Candidates must have excellent sales, customer relations and communication skills, and must be able to present creative marketing solutions, get advertisers to commit to campaigns, process paperwork, perform basic mathematical calculations, and follow ads from creation to publication to meet or exceed customer expectations. Must demonstrate ability to organize individual work activities, as well as to contribute in a team-based environment. Knowledge of competitive media and market research is a plus. Typing requirement 40 wpm. Work schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m.

Doesn't McClatchy have CarrierBuilder? Why is MW acting as an advertising surrogate? Do they pay a commission?

But why? Ask yourself. Would you allow someone you cared about to work for McClatchy? If the answer is no, then why would you do that to someone else?

Just asking because it doesn't make sense to me.
