Survey: most LA Times journalists think their paper will go bankrupt

Pessimism prevails among employees at the LA Times --- in a recent survey, more than half of LA Times journalists surveyed said they believe the Times will eventually go out of business. Among the findings:

Even if newspapers survive, several expected a much lower quality product,” the survey report says. “’Most papers will evolve into local rags with a heavy emphasis on entertainment and other “news you can use” and time-wasting blogs to keep people entertained,’ wrote a former male staffer, whose job was cut.

It's a sure thing. They've lost more than 300,000 paid circ in the past couple of years and few people in LA can even read English these days.

If the media were serious about achieving business success, they would hop on juicy stories like the corruption and incompetence of the Obama administration, and they would hop on the crime against humanity which is Climategate.

But the media isn't doing that, which tells me that they are not really business enterprises anymore.

They are money-losing propaganda arms of powerful forces about which we know too little.

Sadly, the laid off or fired no-talent LA Times hacks will disperse amongst the various publications across the country, getting hired as editors and assistants.

They’ll buy freelance articles from other recently fired no-talent hacks.

The magazines end up looking like the garbage publications they were fired from.

The result is biased articles subscribers don’t want to read and a consequent falling readership.

After that publication is destroyed, the hacks will move on to other publications.

It’s like a perpetual motion machine of leftist destruction.

This is happening all across the print media. None are immune.

Owners need to step in, fire these leftists and hire professionals.

More people each day quit believing what they read in the mainstream media. It has no useful purpose anymore. Some online sites at least are willing to report on stories of substance and many aren't in the pocket of Obama and the DNC.
