McClatchy still using bogus numbers in "Round-up of Daily Violence" reports

McClatchy's Baghdad bureau keeps a daily tally of violence across Iraq. On Monday the Round-up included this entry:

Gunmen killed 11 members of Diaa Al Kawaz family in Al Shaab neighborhood yesterday (Sunday) morning. Al Kawaz is an Iraqi journalist and is the editor in chief of an electronic news agency. Iraqi police didn’t confirm the incident.

This incident has been exposed as a hoax. But even after belatedly admitting the mass slaughter didn't happen, McClatchy still lists the bogus incident on it's "Daily round-up of violence."

I previously blogged about McClatchy using bogus numbers here.

Another example of "journalism's F Troop" in action?
