Deeper cost-cutting at the Modesto Bee... reduction of hours coming in January?

From comments:

"... the Modesto Bee has cut the company vehicles and required employees that need transportation for doing company business to up their auto insurance coverage. And if they use their cars for company business two or more times a week then the Bee will reimburse them for part of their auto insurance. I also found out that there are more cuts coming in the form of cutting hours starting in January. Also seems that the employees that are left are keeping their options open as far as employment outside the Bee..."
The Olympian newspaper already reduced work hours for all hourly employees to 37.5 hours per week. Sounds like this is the kind of reduction mentioned here.
