The Olympian newspaper now being printed at News Tribune facility -- UPDATE: Sunday paper delayed due to production problems

McClatchy's bid to regionalize news coverage and consolidate operations moved forward this past week, when printing operations for The Olympian newspaper were transferred to the Tacoma News Tribune.

To accomodate the change, some deadlines have been moved up -- classified ads have to be completed earlier, and the cut off time for news has been moved up. The Olympian still prints USA Today.

The Sacramento Bee has been printing The Modesto Bee since late September.

Tacoma and Olympia readers -- what are you hearing about the change?

UPDATE: Via comments:

"production delays caused Sunday's paper to be delayed 4 hours."

Previous:
The Olympian to be printed at Tacoma site, 8 positions to be eliminated
The Olympian to shut down 2 publications -- "Best Bets" and "Your Health" to end before 2009
The Olympian to cut 4, no involuntary layoffs
Prediction: McClatchy will regionalize newspapers
