Kansas City Star's INK magazine looking for a "HUNTER"

INK Magazine is looking for a "HUNTER".

The Kansas City Star is currently seeking a passionate and energetic Account Executive for INK Magazine. This sales person will be responsible for creating innovative marketing solutions for businesses in a geographic territory and working with these clients to ensure they reach a desirable, entertainment-oriented audience that produces results. Selling the youth of this product’s audience and its online counterpart is the primary objective.

We are looking for A HUNTER; someone with an unparalleled motivation to sell and with excellent prospecting skills and someone who is not afraid to make countless NEW business calls…..someone who is committed to maximum performance with the intensity and drive to master the keys to sales success. This person will posses an unmatched ability to assist clients through a consultative selling approach; developing effective and creative advertising solutions that drive results for our customers.

They were looking for an an account executive in April. As I said then,
For what it's worth, blogger Tony Botello says INK is the absolute worst publication in Kansas City. You can see the INK web site here. INK is also on MySpace (here) -- even though most people in their 20s left MySpace for FaceBook when they got out of high school.

Hey, what about our very own, “Sweetie of a troll” for the job?

I believe she's going to design school, and could just maybe be the girl to get this program going gangbusters.

The possibilities are endless, and I just know she could make things for MNI...simply FABULOUS!

I thik the job is right up her alley

Any time it's necessary to make "countless new business calls", it means the publication doesn't work for the advertisers, therefore you can't keep them. You must hardsell new business, who then find out it doesn't work and continue chasing your tail times infinity. No experienced sales person would fall for this ad.

Our troll is perfect for the job, and would look fabulous in either of those dresses.

Plus, despite coming of as one dimensional and juvenile, she never takes no for an answer, and is quite the hunter, always insisting that we fact check our every post, telling us to constantly get a life, and calls us teabaggers with great pleasure.

Her only draw back, is at times, she does get, quite emotional and quips that she's leaving the blog forever. But then she's right back in the hunt. All I can say is, "You go, you fabulous girl you!"

Anybody else think the dresses are made out of KC Star newspapers?

Not the Star, but maybe The SF Comical

There is a very good chance that your "Sweetie of a troll" is already a writer for INK. I know her comments and little rants are very familiar.

Pitch has more cred than INK ever will. Mainstream attempts at looking hip in arts coverage will always fail.

Watch for INK to get AXED as a print product and an online product in less than a year.

Maybe not. If you've ever eyeballed the staff it becomes apparent, they work for milk and cookies.
