It's time for another balance check on the Sacramento Bee's editorial page. Wednesday's Commentary page at the Sacramento Bee carried four opinion pieces.
Today's authors: Eugene Robinson; Peter Schrag; Trudy Rubin; and, Kathryn Jean Lopez.
Eugene Robinson writes from a liberal perspective (see here.) Peter Schrag is the Bee's long term left-leaning opinion writer. Trudy Rubin is a journalist who is probably best described as centrist. Only Kathryn Jean Lopez, the columnist from National Review Online, is a conservative.
So here's your balance on today's editorial page: 50% liberal, 25% centrist, and 25% conservative.
Public editor Armando Acuna claims the Bee's editorial pages aren't knee-jerk liberal. But in reality, the Bee almost never achieves the "balance" Acuna suggests.
